GARY DEAN COLLINS

1970 - 2022

On Saturday, September 3rd, Gary Dean Collins, a beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away. He was fifty-two.

Born to Gary and Bonnie Collins, Gary grew up in Lone Pine, CA, graduating from Lone Pine High School. He attended San Diego State University, and Sacramento State University, graduating 1993. He joined the navy and was stationed in San Diego, CA, as part of military intelligence. While in the military he obtained an AS Degree in Exercise Science, BS Degree in Criminal Justice, and an MS in Forensic Science.

Following his time in the navy, he was a special agent with the U.S. Department of Diplomatic Security Service, Department of Health and Human Services, and Food and Drug Administration. He retired and went on to become a successful entrepreneur and best-selling author on fitness and health, teaching at the university level, consulting and training college level athletes.

He resided in Arizona prior to his death. He is survived by his mother Bonnie Graves, stepfather Danny Graves, sister Lorie uerkuyl, brother-inlaw Anthony uerkuyl, niece Brieanna uerkuyl, and nephew Aidan uerkuyl, and his dogs Barney and Buddy.
